The Los Altos-based 100 Women Charitable Foundation has scheduled its second 100 Women Shop & Dine Day 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 18 in downtown Los Altos.

The foundation partners with Los Altos merchants for the Shop & Dine fundraiser. Merchants donate a percentage of sales from the day to the foundation, which disburses 100 percent of the proceeds to six local nonprofit groups at the foundation’s annual membership voting dinner in March. The inaugural event in 2013 raised nearly $6,000.

Based on feedback from both merchants and members, this year’s event has been moved earlier to mid-November to draw more leisurely shoppers than in the first week of December and to avoid conflicts with other holiday events.

Participating stores include Adventure Toys & Teachers’ Supplies, Chico’s, Cover Story, Cranberry Scoop, Davino Florist, First & Main Sports Lounge, Gitane Freedom of Style, Gourmet Works, Know Knew Books, Kula Sweet, Lisa’s Tea Treasures, Nature Gallery, Paperwhirl, Pendleton Woolen Mills and Present.

The event will feature a no-host happy hour open to the general public 4-7 p.m. at First & Main Sports Lounge, 397 Main St.

The 100 Women Charitable Foundation’s mission is to provide access for more women to be involved in local philanthropy and to help make a significant difference in the long-term sustainability of the local nonprofit community.
