How your $100 becomes a grant
Every membership gift moves through the same four phases before it lands with a local nonprofit. Here’s where things stand.
Apr 1 – Jun 15. Members refer local nonprofits, who submit a Letter of Inquiry. We accept the first 45 — we’ve hit that cap three years running.
Due August. Invited organizations submit full applications with financials.
Oct – Nov. Committees visit semi-finalists in each focus area — education, family, and health & wellness — to see the work firsthand.
Jan 15 → March. Six finalists are notified in January. Every member ranks her top three at our 20th Annual Voting Event — one vote, real power, twenty years running.
Referring a nonprofit? Every applicant must be referred by a current member. Renew now so the organizations you care about can apply.
